We love it when a varietal can shine on its own and that is certainly the case with this 100% Marsanne. For a varietal that historically has been known as a blending grape that plays well with others, this expression stands firmly on its own. The enticing aromatics are dominated by spiced Bartlett pear with layers of lemon curd, candied ginger, jasmine, a medley of stone fruit and fresh hay.  These flavors translate to the palate where you will find a glossy texture with crisp, refreshing acidity that begs for another visit to the glass. This wine is layered and complex but is equally approachable. Don’t be nervous if you aren’t familiar with this grape varietal, take a chance on it and it will quickly become your new dependable friend that will fit in at any situation you throw it into. Pairs well with a wide variety of foods, but will really shine with seafood, shellfish and chicken dishes.
